Opinion: Worthy finale, perhaps even the best book in this series of eleven. Without any problem Goodkind wraps up all loose ends and concludes the series in a respectful manner. A too standard good vs evil is being circumvented nicely. Goodkind brilliantly displays his debating skills in vilifying any belief system and portraying free will above all without becoming too bombastically pedantic. This keeps on being the main thread and even though the series is set in a fantasy world, this translates effortlessly to ours. Although open-ended, the main storyline has been concluded, I hope we get to see more stories in this setting/storyverse, even if it'll be without Richard, Kahlan et al.

Om dan maar meten een eigen commentaar te geven: is het label ' fictie' niet overbodig aangezien het geen feitenverzamelaarsboek (kookboek, book of records, wetenschappelijk verslag of documentaire [alhoewel beiden natuurlijk ook nooit objectief...], etc) betreft, is het toch altijd fictie? Het zou toch veel makkelijker zijn om die paar zeldzame non-fictie boeken als zodanig aan te duiden... GrR
Het label "fictie" is er voornamelijk om bezoekers van de site aan de rechterkant te kunnen laten kiezen of ze de fictie- dan wel de non-fictieboekbesprekingen willen zien.
Wat dan weer niets vandoen heeft met de fictieve dan wel de niet fictieve boekbesprekingen...
We hebben trouwens al best een aardig aandeel non-fictieboekbesprekingen op boekenwijzen staan (voornamelijk wetenschap en geschiedenis). Je kan ze vinden dmv het non-fictie label :-)
